Purpose
The Dodge Club exists to create a fun, safe, inclusive, and community-driven sporting experience. Players, spectators, staff, referees, volunteers and partners share responsibility for maintaining a positive environment both on and off the court.
By attending or participating in a Dodge Club event, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct.
Our Core Principle: RESPECT
Respect is the foundation of The Dodge Club.
We expect all participants to:

Respect fellow players, referees, staff and spectators

Respect the rules of the game

Respect the venue and equipment

Respect the spirit of community and inclusivity
A great atmosphere depends on great behaviour.
Expected Behaviour
At The Dodge Club, everyone must:

Contribute to a welcoming, positive environment

Play fairly and with integrity

Show good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat

Support teammates and encourage others
-
Follow referee instructions at all times
-
Help maintain a fun and safe environment
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following will not be tolerated:

Aggressive or violent behaviour
-
Offensive, abusive or discriminatory language
-
Bullying, intimidation, or harassment
-
Unsportsmanlike conduct or cheating
-
Excessive arguing with referees or staff
-
Behaviour that disrupts the event experience
-
Damage to venue property or equipment
-
Unsafe play or reckless behaviour
Anyone behaving in a way that threatens the safety or enjoyment of others may be removed from play or the venue.
Player Conduct
Players must:

Play within the rules and spirit of the game
-
Respect referees’ decisions without confrontation
-
Support teammates and show sportsmanship
-
Avoid excessive competitiveness that undermines fun

Shake hands or acknowledge opponents after games
-
Prioritise safety over winning
Spectator Conduct
Spectators are part of the Dodge Club experience and must:

Encourage players positively
-
Respect referee decisions
-
Remain in designated spectator areas
-
Avoid negative or personal comments toward players
-
Never enter the court during play
Referees & Event Staff
Referees and staff are responsible for maintaining safety and fairness.
They will:

Apply rules consistently and fairly
-
Manage games calmly and professionally
-
Address unsafe or unsporting behaviour
-
Support a fun and respectful environment
-
Referee decisions are final.
Safety & Welfare
The Dodge Club prioritises participant safety.
Participants must:

Play responsibly and avoid dangerous play
-
Inform staff of injuries immediately
-
Follow safety instructions from staff or referees
Anyone feeling unsafe or uncomfortable should speak to a member of staff.
Disciplinary Actions
If this Code of Conduct is breached, The Dodge Club may take action including:

Verbal warning
-
Removal from a match
-
Removal from the event
-
Suspension from future events
-
Permanent ban from The Dodge Club
All decisions are made to protect the experience and safety of the community.
